Northern Kentucky has a choice

Immediate action is required! The ban is now being written right now. If you love the free market, and know that it works, please contact the fiscal courts and urge them to vote against a smoking ban.

Implementing a smoking ban is far more complicated than a simple emotional or reactionary "yes" or "no" issue.

Smoking bans cause a significant increase in DUI fatalities. (Adams and Cotti 2008)

Smoking bans have negative economic consequences, and disproportionately hurt locally-owned businesses. (Enquirer, Feb 22, 2010; Enquirer, June 7, 2010, Adams and Cotti 2007, Adda et al. 2007, McCormick-Jenkins 2007)

Smoking bans cannot be reasonably or equitably enforced without tax increases. (Columbus Dispatch, February 2010)

Smoking bans violate property rights and the individual right to free association.

Smoking bans are unnecessary; the free market is resolving the issue.
