The Northern Kentucky Health Department used taxpayer dollars to set up the initial website for NKY ACTION.

After this had been pointed out on NKYchoice.com, and after politicians questioned the use of taxpayer funds on an advocacy position, they gave up control of the website.

The Northern Kentucky Health Department continues to advertise and promote the smoking ban indirectly, with ads such as this one, screen captured from the Kentucky Enquirer's website.

These ads are suspiciously timed to coincide with the efforts of NKY ACTION.

The health department stands to benefit from this action through an increase in their budget for the purposes of ban enforcement.
